Gloucester Visitor Information Centre : Denison Street Ph 6558 1408. Open 8.45am- 5.00pm weekdays and 8.45am-3.30pm on weekends. 9am-5pm school holidays. If you ring through and go to our message bank please leave a message, it does not necessarily mean we are closed.
Stroud – Visitor Information available in “Crafty Friends” store in the main street shopping area – Open 10am – 4pm every day.

Current Exhibition: “Careful you might break something”, by local artists Bridget Neilson, Leanne Barrett and Stuart St Hill. A variety of artworks & forms. On show until August 15th.

Saturday 14th August: Gloucester’s Farmer’s Market: Billabong Park August 14th 2010 8.30am-12.30pm. Fresh produce, baked goods, and refreshments available. Saturday 28th August: Barrington Community Markets: 9am to 1pm, Barrington Hall, Argyle Street, Barrington. All stallholders are locals – so every dollar spent stays in the district! Wide array of goods available, including: local honey, local mustard, local herbs & plants, local hand made jewellery, local crafts, large selection of bric-a-brac, books, movies, morning teas and more…. including a raffle of course!
A sausage sizzle is offered by the Barrington Rural Fire Service: this is a fundraiser for them. Barrington Community Markets are organised by The Barrington & District Progress Association and are held on the 4th Saturday of February, May, August & November. All enquiries: 6558 4324

Sunday 12th September: Gloucester Mountain Man Tri-Challenge: Held on the 2nd Sunday of September annually, the Gloucester Mountain Man Tri Challenge consists of a 20.4 km mountain bike ride along mountain and 4WD roads, creek beds, cattle tracks, rainforest and open country. The 2nd leg is an 10.7 km kayak paddle down the crystal clear waters of the Barrington River, and the 3rd leg is an 8.8 km run leg along Thunderbolts Way back into Gloucester Park.
Friday 17th & Saturday 18th September: Stroud Campdraft & Rodeo: Great atmosphere & competitions showcasing terrific talent of horses, riders, bullriders and much more.
